Come to guess & learn, and stay for the superior microbrews & ridiculously large salmon hats! We at Mid Sound Fisheries never take trivia too seriously, but the availability of healthy, productive habitat – like the habitat provided by Carpenter Creek Estuary & a number of other estuaries being restored throughout Kitsap County – makes a serious impact on the survivorship of outmigrating juvenile salmon. And over 140 species  – from the caddisfly to the Southern Resident killer whale – rely upon the salmon for survival. Many of these birds, amphibians, insects – even humans – need estuaries, too, for shelter, for food, and for the resilience they represent for communities in the face of more serious storm surges and King Tide events.
