Mid Sound is pleased to be supporting Trout Unlimited, Bellevue-Issaquah chapter, in their 1st Annual Perch Derby on Lake Sammamish!
The purpose of the derby is to remove as many yellow perch from the lake as possible. Yellow perch were planted by WDFW in the lake many decades ago. Now, they are abundant and are predators to the endangered Kokanee at certain life stages. Besides reducing the number of perch in the lake, the derby will help to educate anglers about the efforts to restore the Kokanee population in the lake.
Tickets for the derby are $20 for adults and just $5 for kids.
